Kenya Barichu AA

Origin

This exceptional coffee comes from the Barichu Farmers Co-operative Society in the famous Mt. Kenya region of Nyeri County. At an altitude of 1,650 to 1,800 meters, numerous smallholders cultivate the traditional Kenyan varieties SL28, SL34, Batian and Ruiru 11. After harvest, the cherries are carefully fully washed and then slowly dried in the sun on raised beds. The result is an exceptionally clean and elegant coffee of the AA Top grade.

Flavor profile

A classic washed Kenyan with lively fruit acidity and remarkable clarity. In the cup, aromas of berries, blackcurrant and apricot unfold, accompanied by the sweetness of sugar cane and vanilla. Delicate floral notes and a hint of cinnamon add extra complexity and a long, balanced aftertaste.
